This year’s K-9 5K Spotlight shines on Scout — Alpharetta Police Department’s first-ever therapy dog. A 14-month-old beagle mix trained through the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Paws and Stripes program, Scout isn’t tracking suspects — he’s bringing comfort to victims, witnesses, and even our own first responders. From helping traumatized children find the courage to speak, to supporting officers, firefighters, and 911 dispatchers after difficult calls, Scout represents a different kind of strength in public safety — one rooted in compassion. This year, we run in honor of a K9 who serves with heart.
Get ready for a fast, fun, and mostly flat course — no hills, just great energy from start to finish! Even better, this 5K is an official Peachtree Road Race qualifying event, so your time counts!
The race begins at Dave & Buster’s and heads north on North Point Parkway, then turns right onto Haynes Bridge Road, right onto Mansell Road, and finishes with a final right turn back onto North Point Parkway toward the Finish Line!
